12 Month Fix All Faults

If you are not happy with something in your renovation that we have worked on please let us know. We want to put it right for you wherever we can. *This does not include normal wear and tear.

3 Year Maintenance

Our commitment extends beyond handing back your keys. We will commit to coming back for a day each year to complete any maintenance carpentry work.

Houses do move on Auckland’s soil and in our seasonal conditions. This can affect the building. We are often also joining an old building with a new building which can result in different settling over time. Reno Builders will come back to put in a day of maintenance each year for 3years

*Applies to contracts of $150,000 ex gst from January 2015. Includes carpentry labour only. Materials and other trades charged at the prevailing rate. Cabinetry is not included in carpentry.

10 Year Water Tight Warranty

Your building will be watertight for a minimum of 10 years.

Our Commitment:

  • The building work will be done properly, competently and in accordance with the plans and specifications.
  • All the materials used will be suitable and, unless otherwise stated in the contract, new.
  • The building work will be consistent with the Building Act and the Building Code.
  • The building work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill and completed within the time specified, or a reasonable time if no time is stated.
  • The household unit will be suitable for occupation, or other use as agreed in scope, at the end of the work.
  • If the contract states any particular outcome and the owner relies on the skill and judgement of the contractor to achieve it, the building work and the materials will be fit for purpose and be of a nature and quality suitable to achieve that result.
  • RenoBuilders are a professional business. You have rights that are outlined in a disputes process in our agreements.

MBIE has released new technical guidance, the Guide to tolerances, materials and workmanship in new residential construction 2015.
